Our Mount Hood Loop tour, offered year 'round, is located on the northern boundary of Oregon: one of the world’s most scenic highway loops; through a gorge cut by the Columbia River along Interstate I-84, along the fault-and volcano-bounded Hood River Valley, and up the flanks of Mount Hood to the 'top'.  Mt. Hood (photos), a dormant volcano, is the tallest mountain in Oregon, and is located 20 miles east of Portland. Your guided private limousine ride/tour features our Columbia River Gorge Tour also which includes Multnomah Falls and Crown Point with its 35-mile long panoramic view of the Columbia River Gorge.  We visit several more waterfalls, while following the Columbia River Gorge Historic Highway, then through the orchards of the picturesque Hood River Valley and the Mt. Hood forest, up to historic Timberline Lodge, where you can relax, photograph and enjoy the beautiful scenery and historic lodge.  If you choose to have a picnic lunch there, you can take 'the magic mile chairlift ride' to the top of the mountain!  Also, Ranger lodge tours may be available from 12-3PM.  We then conclude our tour with a scenic ride back to Portland.

This tour is offered year 'round and comes with our standard 'partial' tour guide' and concierge service at Timberline Lodge unless otherwise noted or requested.  A dedicated full tour guide may be available for groups of 9 or more, on request ($225 charge). The Columbia River Gorge Highway is in the near vicinity of all of the waterfalls and stops on this tour.  Therefore, care should be taken, especially for children,  when near or crossing this highway to get to the viewing areas of the waterfalls, or at any other location on our tour.  We are proud to offer catering services with any of our excursions. Enjoy appetizers and a gourmet picnic lunch during your tour (Lunch is at additional cost). This would be the perfect complement to your tour, while you enjoy the view of Portland.**  All tours are private limousine transportation.  Tours may be able to be customized, please inquire, and are approximately 8.5 hours long. Tour is offered in private, luxury town cars or limousines.

* TRAILHEAD RELEASE AGREEMENT: While we consider this tour to be completely safe; in wilderness areas, possible wilderness dangers are always present.  If you plan on hiking on any trails, a Trailhead Release Agreement form will be required for your tour.  Our employees will not accompany your group on the hike.  In fact, our tour ends at the trailhead, and begins again at the trailhead on your return.  Optional hikes are not recommended for children or pets.   Though most trails are continually within earshot of running water, you should plan on carrying your own supply for longer hikes. Some cliff sections (on certain hikes) are extremely exposed, so anyone subject to vertigo should proceed carefully, and turn back if the first set of cliffs are uncomfortable... they may only get higher, and more exposed!  On most available hikes, the elevation gains are modest, with gradual climbs spread throughout the hike. However, the trail surfaces are often rocky and uneven, and anything less than a good pair of hiking shoes or boots is not adequate. Also keep in mind that the Columbia Gorge is home to poison oak and other poisonous plants, and they grow along some trails. If you're susceptible to it, keep an eye out in sunny, open cliff-tops and open oak forests. Long pants are a good idea is you're particularly sensitive.

Most hikes we mention as options we consider to be short & 'easy'.  Our basic short hike options will be in the Columbia River Gorge at Wahkeena Falls, Multnomah Falls, Latourell Falls and Bridal Veil Falls.
