- Immediately after passing Bishops Cap, see if you can spot the, Box Culvert, on the right of the highway: It was built to take a small stream under the highway.
- Then, see if you can spot the, Lusher Farm and Cattle Pass – Built in 1870 by the Luscher family—Swiss immigrants; on the left of the highway is the eighteen ninety five rustic barn of Fred Luscher who helped build the highway, and railroad. The home is now gone. He lived there his entire life. And every time the railroad passed, would radio him that they are coming, and then sound their horn.
- The Cattle Pass to the Luscher Barn ... (Built in 1914), is under, and on the right of the highway: The Lusher family required construction of a Cattle Pass so that his herd could migrate to both sides of a pasture, bisected by the highway's construction.
- Last, see if you can spot Forrest Hall – It's a big, white, grand, southern-style mansion on the left of the highway, circa 1915. It was originally built as one of the many road houses along the highway, called Forest Hall, for 2 sisters from Paris Kentucky, serving southern-style chicken dinners. It is now a private residence.
