Eats - Columbia R. Gorge & Mt. Hood

Dine at an historic restaurant or original Roaring 20s roadhouse and more...**:
  • The Multnomah Falls Lodge offers breakfast, lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch at the restaurant ($$$). The snack bar ($$) features, hot dogs, chips, pizza etc. and for the more health conscious, turkey and veggie wraps for about $8. There's also a separate coffee and dessert stand.
  • The Locks Grill ($$$) is a good choice if you booked a Sternwheeler Cruise on the Columbia in Cascade Locks. Dinner and Sunday Brunch cruises are also available on the Sternwheeler.
  • A little to the east is one of the country's best small towns for food lovers is Hood River's Oak Street. It's the Gorge's favorite "main street".
DINE AT THE GORGE'S WEST END IN OR NEAR TROUTDALE:
  • Tad's ($$$$) for dinner ("One of the Last 'Roaring 20s' Roadhouses") - Historically, roadhouses were where travelers stopped for dinner and chicken was the most popular food served to tourists along the historic highway.  During the late 1920s Tad Johnson opened a roadhouse on the bank of the Sandy River which has grown into a popular local restaurant still featuring food as prepared during the peak of the Historic Highway's popularity.
  • Corbett Country Market ($$)
  • Historic Edgefield Manor ($$-$$$)
  • Unforgettable Setting - (Riverview Restaurant) Oregon is full of beautiful scenery as well as amazing restaurants of all shapes and sizes. Located just outside of Portland, Riverview Restaurant is a unique hidden gem nestled into the woods on a serene, beautifully-manicured property overlooking the Sandy River.
  •  & more...
FURTHER EAST:
  • Dining at one of the country's best small places for food lovers; Hood River's Oak Street.
