Tour #1: "Oregon's N. Coast in a Nutshell - Short Version" (#1 & #3 combined; 8-10 hours) - Select stops in Seaside/Cannon Beach & Astoria, AS TIME PERMITS - This is your tour if you are most interested in learning about/ seeing Oregon coast nature with a backdrop in history. Each tour is a custom itinerary, and any or all of it may be changed. To customize or view alternate options, please inquire or click HERE.
Your tour may go something like this:
SEASIDE/ CANNON BEACH & HISTORIC ASTORIA - (8 hours out-n-back to Seaside/Cannon Beach or 10-hour loop to Seaside/Cannon Beach & Astoria. 90-120 mins from DT Portland) -
  • Have coffee or breakfast with lumberjack's 20 minutes from the Coast; then a 'few' hours of...
  •  a 'terrible' lighthouse & whales*
  • beach walk, volcanic sea-stacks, rugged coastline
  • 500 year old beeswax & buried treasure tales, a secret old-growth forest & cove and another beach walk
  • a secret cauldron over-look & ocean views.
  • a quick glance at Oregon's famous resort town and lunch at the cafe with the freshest seafood --for the 8 hour option or...
Then Astoria; the oldest city West of the Rockies. It's a place you don't get to by accident, you have to want to go there. We'll experience spectacular views of the Columbia River, Astoria & the 'Graveyard of the Pacific'.
  • Enjoy a late lunch at either Fort George Brewery (default; the place that reinvigorated the Astorian economy), Bowpicker Fish n Chips (best fish 'n chips) or famous chowder at a local restaurant.
  • We'll see a few sights in Astoria (Fort Astoria {the 1st Columbia R anchorage with comfort & security} & Tidal Rock used by the Astor party) as time permits. Then...on the return, search for Bald Eagles in the marsh at the Twilight Eagle Sanctuary - 100 acres of wetlands and forest at the approximate site of the Lewis and Clark campsite on November 26, 1805.
We'll see most or all of these sights, as time permits. Madre mía!
