It’s the season in the Columbia River Gorge!
In the western Columbia River Gorge, Spring, Summer & Fall (& Winter) is waterfall viewing time.  This year waterfalls along the Corbett to Dodson portion of the Historic Columbia River Highway are spectacular!  See map right. Our rainy winter and spring have made for some great falls.
From Crown Point Viaduct to Horsetail Falls Bridge, a distance of nearly eleven miles, the Historic Columbia River Highway passes by one of the best collections of scenic vistas and high waterfalls in North America.
Our Gorge tour is your escape to Oregon country--adventures, farm to table flavors, educational scenic touring & specially crafted by My Chauffeur to showcase the Gorge's unparalleled bounty.

  • The Bonneville Dam is open year-round to view the visitor center, viewing center, fish ladder, fish hatchery & Sturgeon Pond w/Herman the Sturgeon.  When to visit the dam sometimes depends on what you want to see. From August through November salmon that have returned are sorted into holding ponds for processing. During these times it’s also good to visit the fish ladder. If you want to see the spawning (reproduction) operation (at the Spawning Room), late summer or early fall (Sept, Oct & Nov) is the time to visit. But they have something for people to do all year long, because the operation is always working and we have fish out for people to see. Spawning begins during the last week in October and continues until the beginning of December. As part of their natural life cycle all Pacific Northwest Salmon die after spawning.  For hatchery tours call 541-374-8393. Hatchery and dam are open year-round from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Fish Hatchery Video
